Bivouac
The bonfire gave off a warm radiance, but no one was snuggled up next to it due to the warm weather. The fire cackled away, the singing was chayusdik, and the stories were informative. That was the setting for the overnight.
The breakout was a story of camp needing to be cleaned and the consequent missing of the 3rd activity of the day. When the campers were gathered in the shule for minchah they were delighted and relieved to find out that that wasn’t the case and instead it was going to be a bivouac.
The achdus displayed amongst all the campers was inspirational, their singing, arms linked one with the other was a sight to behold. After a full scale barbecue and many songs sung the campers retired to their sleeping places to rest themselves up for the next day.
The rising of the sun signaled wake up time for camp. Within just an hour and a half camp had davened, eaten breakfast and at the early hour of seven in the morning were ready for a big day ahead.
The water park across the road was the next prop in the grand overnight. The early hour couldn’t damper the spirits of 200 young excited campers. The waterslides wave pool and warm pool were the main sources of entertainment as the sun began to climb high in the sky. But alas, it all came to an end as the clock strikes 10 and the park opened for the general public. The bus ride back was a more somber affair with most campers succumbing to a night of minimal sleep.
Sleep was scheduled into the day to make up for the lost hours of the previous night, and with normal proceedings supplementing the rest of the day, thus passed Wednesday 25th of Tammuz in CGI Montreal.
Stay tuned for section C’s trip yesterday and as well as the full day trip the Masmidim left on this morning the 28th of Taamuz.
