The second session at Camp Gan Israel Montreal is well underway, and excitement is buzzing across the campgrounds. In Section C, leagues are in full swing after an intense draft night that had campers eagerly awaiting their team placements. Competitive spirit and teamwork are thriving, and sports activities have picked up across all sections of camp.

Adding to the fun, CGI recently welcomed some unconventional campers—a pair of pet goats! The goats have quickly become camp favorites, often spotted walking the grounds with their bunkmates or enjoying downtime in their hand-built enclosure.

Parents are reminded that canteen deposits can be made online through their registration accounts. The process is simple:

Following a heartwarming banquet- including trophies and certificates rewarded to our winners in each division, we sadly said goodbye to our departing campers- as buses pulled out to Montreal, NY and the airport. We simultaneously welcomed our new campers as buses pulled in from the airport, Montreal, NY and Toronto!

Bunks were divided – campers settled in and enjoyed a delicious grill cheese lunch – in their new bunks!

First session is coming to an end. Campers have been busy with play offs, kluger games, learning class tests and of course many special activities.

Each section of camp was treated to a special event just for them. Section C enjoyed their Mivtzah event (Candy Ice cream event) on Motzei shabbos while grades 4 (decorate cupcake / ice cream event) grade 5 (pancake event) and grade 6 (Waffle event) had them on Sunday night!

The staff of each department worked tirelessly to set up – prepare and run the events with great creativity and fun!

Mazel tov to Yisrael Simcha Rosenberg upon his Bar Mitzvah celebrated in with his friends in camp earlier today!

Tonight- at dinner a mini banquet will be celebrated- as we sadly bid farewell to our departing campers.

A spirited Bog-War ended following all the plays, songs and of course lot of Mishnayos Bal Peh.

Following a delicous falafel lunch, Section C campers headed to Montreal to enjoy a most amazing Jet- Boating experience, followed by a great Pizza Dinner in the Cavendish mall!

Plans are underway for an amazing Shabbos- as we sadly prepare to bid farewell to our first month campers.

Grade 6 had a grand time on their very own trip to Six-Flags-La-Ronde-Amusement-Park trip. It all started with an early reveille, to get in as many fun filled hours as possible. They thoroughly enjoyed the rides and excitement the park had to offer and headed back to camp following a delicious pizza dinner!

In the meantime, grades 4 and 5 had an amazing day filled with activities and sports followed by a special bon fire- just for them.

Section C is heading to La Minerve for a grand all-star game in the specially lit- city field! Good luck to all our sportsmen.

And Bog war has arrived! Following the exciting breakout campers headed to the shul for the division of teams. Details to follow!

The week of grand trips is an absolute hit!

Grades 4 and 5 enjoyed six flags La Ronde – all day yesterday – culminating in a delicous pizza dinner, while grade 6 enjoyed our grounds all day, followed by a grand bomb fire just for them!

Today, grade 6 campers left bright and early to enjoy their grand trip to  La Ronde.

Under a sunny sky with a great breeze campers in camp are enjoying a great day of sports and lake front activity.

Section C campers alternated between boating to Lac dessert and taking the bus – giving each camper a chance to boat the distance as well as enjoy Lac-Desserts famous mini golf!

What a day! Thanks to all who came from far and near to enjoy the beautiful day – with excitement for all ages including the zipline, boating, water park, inflatables and of our course or in house playground and trampoline. Campers were thrilled to share our grounds and lots of stories with their visitors, while those without visitors were having a ball on the lake.

At 6:30 campers were back to regular – learning classes followed by a delicious burger and fries dinner and of course night activity.

Early this morning our youngest campers from grade 4 and 5 headed out for a grand trip to La Ronde- while the rest of camp spent a breezy clear day in camp with great sports.

CGI wishes a big mazel tov to our two campers who celebrated their Hanochas Tefillin in camp yesterday together with family and friends. Mazel tov to Zalmen Light from Monsey, and Yehudah Chanowitz from Toronto,  and lots of Nachas to both families.

After an amazing day of fun, Section C campers were treated to another “Mivtzah Event” as a reward for keeping up with extra hiddurim and tracking them in their CGI passport. The Poke bowl evening was tasty, fun, and entertaining.

Long after lights out, the hardworking staff enjoyed their own Sushi event and program! A great time was had by all.

What a Day at CGI Montreal!

For the first time ever, the grand trip brought all departments together for an amazing outing! Campers were greeted with fresh Danishes at the park, followed by a blast of fun in the refreshing slides and pools under warm 30-degree weather. After a late return to camp, everyone enjoyed a late reveille this morning.

Today was filled with in-house sports, lakefront activities, waterpark fun, ziplining, and more! To top it off, all bunks were treated to a special laser tag plus Archery event brought into camp for the day. The fun doesn’t end!
