Rabbi B. Mockin Inspires CGI During a Beautiful Shabbos Mevorchim + Bar Mitzvahs and Mivtzah Event
Thursday night was bustling with excitement as Section C enjoyed their very own Mivtzah event, a well-deserved reward for their outstanding hachlatos and dedication to keeping them. The campers celebrated their accomplishments with an evening filled with fun, energy, and plenty of excitement.
At the same time, our devoted staff gathered for a well-attended Leil Shishi, enjoying delicious snacks, meaningful learning, and inspiring farbgrengens.
Sunday morning brought more excitement as Section B+ (Grade 6) celebrated their much-anticipated Mivtzah event. The festivities were kicked off with a hilarious mock wedding, bringing lots of laughter and smiles. Their hardworking staff beautifully transformed the dining room, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable celebration. The campers had an amazing time, enjoying every moment of this well-deserved reward.
Shabbos Mevorchim was beautiful, as always. The morning began with our Shabbos Mevorchim Tehillim, along with a special Danish incentive – sponsored in Memory of Shmuel Karnowsky – draw that encouraged campers to rise early and join in Tehillim.
We were especially honored to welcome Rabbi B. Mockin, whose presence brought tremendous warmth and inspiration to camp. During the seudah, Rabbi Mockin stood on the table and addressed a silent dining room, captivating campers and staff as he taught traditional niggunim and shared words of inspiration. It was a truly special moment filled with Chassidishkeit, warmth, and memories that will last a lifetime.
The inspiration continued throughout the afternoon as Rabbi Mockin farbrenged with the staff, leaving everyone uplifted and energized to continue bringing that warmth and enthusiasm to our campers.
The CGI family also had the privilege of celebrating special simchos here in camp. A heartfelt Mazel Tov to Tzvi Goldman of Philadelphia and Shalom Hildeshaim of Crown Heights, who celebrated their Bar Mitzvah’s here in camp, surrounded by family and friends. We wish both families much Chassidishe nachas and continued simchos!
