Section C bunk war is here! The three teams are being led by generals from their section. Songs, plays, and all preparations are done by the boys, with the help of a staff member as adviser. The boys are acting, writing songs, drawing, playing music, learning mishnayos bal peh,  and doing it all! The spirit and dedication are incredible. Preparations are underway for the best grand sing ever, being held tonight!

Best campers in each learning class in grade 6 were rewarded with an awesome-tube-ride on our marvelous lake.

Grade 5 boys had their very own grade trip yesterday. The large group of boys was divided into three groups, alternating between mini golf, Walmart and Tyroparc (rope course), in St. Agathe. The boys returned to camp – all smiles – happy to join the camp for supper followed by a grand bean hunt.

The hardworking staff of B+ prepared special chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon and chocolate flavoured rogulach as an incentive for going to the Mikvah! The project was met with great enthusiasm by all the campers!

Grade trips have begun! Section A headed to Laval’s Dark Zone and enjoyed many rounds of fierce lazer tag. Grade 6 section B+ were split in half while enjoying intense white water rapids, a hike in the woods and an overall fun time. They were greeted on the buses with warm tradition soups- a popular item here in CGI!

Grade 5 enjoyed a comical mock wedding in camp including a full chupa, dancing and a festive meal!

After an incredible day for all sections, during Supper, as a celebration for the return of music; the entire camp broke out in a spontaneous dance with music blasting over the speakers. (see picture album). They then headed to a special judgement night- night activity, bringing some of their favorite staff members to justice.

Mazel Tov to Yasef Wolvovsky from Santa Rosa California,  and Ahron Perlstein from Cederhurst NY, upon their bar mitzvahs, celebrated here in camp with their fathers, and friends. Lots of Nachas to both families.

After chatzos activities were arranged for campers that were not fasting including sports and bunk skits. Campers prepared and rehearsed skits throughout the day, which were performed for the rest of camp after Mincha.

The kitchen staff outdid themselves again, with an amazing break-fast meal of onion soup, Lazagna, corn on the cob and salad and of course fresh danishes delivered from Montreal.

Laundry and trips are back to regular schedule bh! Details to follow.

Once again campers greeted shabbos after being treated to warm-homemade-jumbo-chocolate-chip-cookies and warm potato kugel.

Throughout shabbos the spirit was great! As per directives for when Tisha B’av is a “nidcheh”, the entire shabbos had an additional Simcha- flavor added. The Seudos were quite lively and meaningful; as the head counsellor shared inspiring words throughout. Lots of niggunim related to the imminent-geulah were sung with great feeling.

The kitchen staff outdid themselves with an amazing pre-fast shalosh seudos including shnitzel, kugel, chicken salad, challah rolls and more. Wishing all an easy fast!

Congratulations to the winners of Shabbos competition, bunks:  Hey, Yud Daled and Yud Ches!

After a full day of non stop activity – the basketball court was set up with bleachers full of excited campers in anticipation of  another in house entertainer. The fascinating tricks done with fire were quite risky and entertaining. Eventually a unicycle was added to the show – with camp volunteers causing blasting cheering from the audience. The light rain held out so that all could enjoy the show till the end.

Grade 5’s section B were called back down to the section C dining room after preparing for bed. A lively and exciting Ice cream party was enjoyed by all, with a variety of flavors, syrups and sprinkle toppings. A unique program followed,  before campers headed to bed.

Mazel tov to Eli Rubinstein from Crown Heights, upon his Bar mitzvah and to Yaakov Baitelman from LA,  upon his Hanochas Tefillin, celebrated here in camp, with their parents and friends.

The hard working staff was treated to another evening of appreciation. The pizza, pasta, nacho menu was professionally prepared for them by the head staff. An amazing evening of achdus was enjoyed by all.

Good Shabbos.

Wishing all an easy and meaningful fast.
