A competitive Bog war ended last night after the final play. All the plays were most enjoyable and full of toichen. It was a wonderful war and everyone is waiting to hear the who the winner is.

Today, all sections of camp are out on the GRAND TRIP. Excitement was in the air as buses were loaded nice and early, following davening and a delicious  breakfast. Please understand that calling day and email distribution will be skipped for today as we are busy enjoying this amazing trip.

Mazel Tov to Mendy and Yossi  Hirsch, and Yossi Sherman upon their Bar Mitzvahs, celebrated here in camp surrounded by family and friends. The CGI family  wishes both families a warm Mazel Tov and lots of nachas!

Have a great day.

Much to everyone’s surprise and excitement, Bog war is here- better known as “Hakhel war”! Campers have been busy studying their quotas of Mishnayos bal peh, learning songs and of course enjoying the great performance presented by all three teams.  Following the theme of Shnas Hakhel, the team names are “Hakhel Es Ha’am- Achdus”, “Leman’an Yilmedu-Torah” & “Veshamru La’asos-Mitzvos”. We wish all 3 teams much hatzlacha!

Alternating between kayaking hiking and taking a ride on our very own pontoon boat, the entire section C enjoyed a day travelling to and from the town of Lac Dessert. Aside for enjoying the trip there and back, the campers played mini golf and enjoyed a great scavenger hunt. Campers rushed back to join the rest of camp – watching the great plays of bog war.

The clouds parted and sky cleared just in time for activities yesterday. Campers had an amazing day of sports leagues  and water activities. Following an early dinner, everyone headed to the shul for an awesome show by a very talented Ventriloquist! Everyone headed back to their bunks, still trying to figure out just how he did it! It was enjoyed by campers and staff of all ages!

After the great entertainment, Section C campers were rewarded for their hard work in Hatomim with a spectacular evening – a special “wrap night”. The atmosphere was great and the food delicious! Thanks to the hardworking staff for making the event possible.

Below please find the list of campers that excelled in learning classes for the third week of camp. Lots of Nachas!

After an amazing Shabbos including a special Mishnayos Bal Peh war, staff and section C were treated to a special Melave Malka in preparation for the fast. In addition to the great food the atmosphere was great!

During the fast a grand staff baseball game took place in our baseball field with the campers cheering them on. We ended the fast with a delicious dinner of vegetable soup, Lazagna, salad, corn, fresh rolls and of course fresh homemade cake. The younger campers were fed earlier in the evening and were entertained in the shul while the fasting campers and staff enjoyed their delicious supper.

As soon as the energy was back in full swing, campers and staff headed to the basketball court for an intense  all-start game played by campers in sections B and B+ (grades 5 and 6). The audience cheered and players performed. It was hard to remember their age as they impressed the crowd with their amazing sports abilities.  In the meantime there were small games happening around camp including of course our new bubble soccer! Never a dull moment!

Early this morning our winners of Shabbos competition, bunks Ches and Yud-Tes were on the road, to Go-Karting. Congratulations to all the campers in the two bunks for a great Shabbos!

Yesterday, in honor of hike day, campers of grade 6 alternated between boating and being taken by a larger boat to our local town of Lac-Dessert.  The campers enjoyed the town and the Mini Golf.  Water bottles were distributed as campers enjoyed their time out of camp. The staff were sure to make every moment memorable! The rest of camp enjoyed a great day of sports here in camp. Sports seems to be a great highlight here as they play hard to keep up with the leagues and have a great time.

Section C were headed out for an amazing trip. The division was divided between rope-course and paint-ball-shooting as they did last week. This gives every camper a chance to enjoy both trips  – without the delays of waiting on lines. They returned to camp last night in time for a delayed dinner. A great time was enjoyed by all bh.

Matissyahu Gershovitz celebrated his bar mitzvah here in camp yesterday. Mazel Tov to the entire family, lots of Nachas!

This morning bunks Zayin, Yud Alef, and Yud Daled were rewarded for winning Shabbos competition last shabbos. They were all taken on a trip Go-Karting for some great fun!

We look forward to another  amazing Shabbos in Camp IYH, and will be happy to share our winners once again.

Have a good Shabbos.
