“The grade trips have begun! Section B, comprising our Grade 5 campers, kicked off the adventures with a thrilling visit to “Clip-N-Climb-Laval”. The excitement was palpable as they returned with beaming smiles, eager to share their experiences with their fellow campers. Meanwhile, our animal-loving campers are delighted to welcome our newest additions – adorable goats and sheep!
Today, Grade 6 (section B+) embarks on their own special trip, while the rest of the camp enjoys a fantastic day of sports under the sunny sky.
Last night, our dedicated staff were treated to the first ‘Staffe’ of the season – a well-deserved burger event that was both enjoyable and delicious! It was a great opportunity for our hardworking team to relax and unwind together, and we’re grateful for all that they do to make our camp season so special.
As the day comes to a close, we prepare for a meaningful and memorable Gimmel Tammuz celebration, starting tonight!”
The non stop action continues!
Thursday night, after an action-packed day, we were treated to our first in house- entertainer. The ventriloquist had us at the edge of our seats trying to figure it out – “ how did he actually say that without moving his mouth?” A great entertainer!
Our first shabbos in camp- shabbos before Gimmel Tammuz- was quite meaningful. Rabbi S.B. Cohen Farbrenged with the staff, and of course the staff farbrenged with campers- in preparation for Gimmel Tammuz.
Motzei Shabbos campers in both Section C and B+ had their official sports draft event. The leagues are set up and ready for a season of great sports!
Mazel tov to Shmully Wolvosky upon his Bar Mitzvah- celebrated today here in Gan Yisroel with his family and friends.
Another amazing day on campgrounds, under a sunny sky- with lots of sports, water activities and fun.

Be sure to specify your son’s bunk number as per the email received earlier this week, and section. (Grades 4, 5,6 – Sections A-B, Grade 7- Section C)
Send email (please limit to 2-3 a week – and avoid sending pictures).

CGI wants to thank Rabbi S.B. Cohen – Mashpiah in Montreal- For joining us for camp. Staff were inspired by an incredible farbrengen last night and look forward to more over shabbos iyh.
Section C – the first to travel to Laval for a the very first trip of the season! They had an absolute blast at “Elevation Trampoline” after enjoying delicious Pizza delivered from Montreal! A great time was enjoyed by all.
In the meantime in camp, following an amazing day of sports and learning, the special day of Chof Ches Sivan was celebrated- with a new song – newly composed by our very own staff; taught to the entire dining room.
CGI wished a big mazel tov to Avrohom Zaltzman from Fair Lawn, NJ, upon his Bar Mitzvah – celebrated here in camp with his family and friends.
Important updates for parents:
– You can now send emails directly to your son through our website; please include his bunk number (as indicated in yesterday’s email).
– Replenish your son’s canteen account by logging into your online account; don’t forget to specify your currency.
– Campers will receive notifications when a canteen deposit is made.
Day #2 is underway, and it’s hard to believe how much fun we’ve already had!
Our campers traveled from far and wide, and they’ve settled in beautifully. Yesterday was a fantastic first day, with everyone getting to know their new bunkmates, classes, and enjoying a packed schedule of sports, learning, and meals.
To help overcome jet lag and fatigue, we had an early lights-out, and this morning, campers were up bright and early, eager to start the day. Some even got in some impromptu sports before lineup!
Section C has already headed out on their first trip of the season – we’ll share details soon.
