Huge smiles could be seen on the campers’ faces as the buses returned to camp last night. The grade trips went extremely well bh!
Grade 4 went to a trampoline park- Elevation and out for pizza in the Cavendish mall food court. Grade 5 went bowling and to the Darkzone laser tag, and grade 6 went to the Elevation Trampoline Park as well as bowling followed by the pizza shop!

Mazel tov to Chaim Stern from Montreal – on his Hanochas Tefillin – celebrated here in camp with family and friends. Wishing the Stern family lots of Chassidishe nachas.
CGI looks forward to welcoming our Masmidim, starting their learning program today iyh: together with their Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Wagner.
Today is our grade trip day. A special day for each camper to get to know others from his grade with a special trip just for them. Grades 4 (section A), grade 5 (section B) and Grade 6 (section B+) are heading to the buses following a delicious breakfast for their amazing grade trip. Details to follow tomorrow iyh. Have a great day.
Another beautiful sunny day in Gan Yisroel bh! And the runaways continue. Early this morning bunk Ches was seen at our lake front leaving for their runaway across the lake. Campers were treated to a cook-out breakfast and an exhilarating tube ride.
This past Shabbos, many bunks worked really hard to win Shabbos competition and it was a really close race. And the winners of Shabbos competitions for the first Shabbos of camp are: bunks Tes, Yud Beis and Chof Alef. All three bunks are heading out of camp for a special go-karting trip.
CGI welcomes Rabbi S. Avtzon and family to the CGI family. Rabbi Avtzon will serve as Mashpiah to our staff and campers throughout the summer season. Lots of Hatzlacha!
Shabbos Gimmel Tammuz was something special here in CGI! The Seudos turning into warm Farbrengens, as the head counselors farbrenged and led the singing of Rebbe-songs and many niggunim. The atmosphere was special on this very special day. It was heartwarming to watch the enthusiasm of the campers and staff throughout Shabbos. Mishnayos bal peh was quite special as well. Rabbi B. Mockin spoke for section C as Shabbos was coming in, preparing them for the special day as it was beginning; and spoke for the camp during the Friday night seduah. Rabbi Mockin led a special staff farbrengen which continued all afternoon. A very special Shabbos for all departments of camp.
Last night, following a day full of amazing sports and activities, the camper of all sections joined in the air conditioned dining room to enjoy the first in house entertainment of the season. Campers and staff enjoyed the tricks and quick moves, our magician entertained us with.
When all was still, and campers were asleep, our staff had their very own training with Rabbi Ringo from Montreal. CGI thanks Rabbi Ringo for taking the trip to camp to share his professional and sensitive advice and guidance for our staff. The evening ended with a special staff “Leil Shishi” meal enjoyed by all.
This morning, bright and early bunks Chof Gimmel, and Yud Ches were seen leaving camp for their very special runaway to La belle. Campers enjoyed a breakfast cookout, and sports, before returning to camp. Bunk yud daled had their turn to go on Wednesday.
Today, Friday our first group of campers, section A, will be calling home for their calling day. IYH we will have another section calling daily, over the next week. CGI appreciates your patience as you wait to hear from your son. As noted on previous emails, due to many trips and special activities, the calling schedule is not set in advance. This helps avoid having parents wait at the phone, while their son is enjoying an outing.
Looking forward to our first, very special, Gimmel Tammuz Shabbos here in CGI. Have a great Shabbos.
