The clouds parted and sky cleared just in time for activities yesterday. Campers had an amazing day of sports leagues  and water activities. Following an early dinner, everyone headed to the shul for an awesome show by a very talented Ventriloquist! Everyone headed back to their bunks, still trying to figure out just how he did it! It was enjoyed by campers and staff of all ages!

After the great entertainment, Section C campers were rewarded for their hard work in Hatomim with a spectacular evening – a special “wrap night”. The atmosphere was great and the food delicious! Thanks to the hardworking staff for making the event possible.

Below please find the list of campers that excelled in learning classes for the third week of camp. Lots of Nachas!

After an amazing Shabbos including a special Mishnayos Bal Peh war, staff and section C were treated to a special Melave Malka in preparation for the fast. In addition to the great food the atmosphere was great!

During the fast a grand staff baseball game took place in our baseball field with the campers cheering them on. We ended the fast with a delicious dinner of vegetable soup, Lazagna, salad, corn, fresh rolls and of course fresh homemade cake. The younger campers were fed earlier in the evening and were entertained in the shul while the fasting campers and staff enjoyed their delicious supper.

As soon as the energy was back in full swing, campers and staff headed to the basketball court for an intense  all-start game played by campers in sections B and B+ (grades 5 and 6). The audience cheered and players performed. It was hard to remember their age as they impressed the crowd with their amazing sports abilities.  In the meantime there were small games happening around camp including of course our new bubble soccer! Never a dull moment!

Early this morning our winners of Shabbos competition, bunks Ches and Yud-Tes were on the road, to Go-Karting. Congratulations to all the campers in the two bunks for a great Shabbos!

Yesterday, in honor of hike day, campers of grade 6 alternated between boating and being taken by a larger boat to our local town of Lac-Dessert.  The campers enjoyed the town and the Mini Golf.  Water bottles were distributed as campers enjoyed their time out of camp. The staff were sure to make every moment memorable! The rest of camp enjoyed a great day of sports here in camp. Sports seems to be a great highlight here as they play hard to keep up with the leagues and have a great time.

Section C were headed out for an amazing trip. The division was divided between rope-course and paint-ball-shooting as they did last week. This gives every camper a chance to enjoy both trips  – without the delays of waiting on lines. They returned to camp last night in time for a delayed dinner. A great time was enjoyed by all bh.

Matissyahu Gershovitz celebrated his bar mitzvah here in camp yesterday. Mazel Tov to the entire family, lots of Nachas!

This morning bunks Zayin, Yud Alef, and Yud Daled were rewarded for winning Shabbos competition last shabbos. They were all taken on a trip Go-Karting for some great fun!

We look forward to another  amazing Shabbos in Camp IYH, and will be happy to share our winners once again.

Have a good Shabbos.

The dining  room roared with excitement during an early lunch, as campers were given the great news, OVERNIGHTS! Campers hurried to their bunks to pack and prepare for this exciting event. The weather could not have been better BH, as campers spread out their sleeping bags, set up their tents and enjoyed a delicious barbecue supper and beautiful camp fire. The singing went into the night as roasted marshmallows were distributed. Early this morning, the entire camp headed to the water park to enjoy the slides and pools. Campers then headed back to camp and grade 6 continued their outing to enjoy some bowling. The fun doesn’t seem to end.

In the meantime, section C took advantage of our empty camp grounds and enjoyed an amazing  C shore farbrengen! The staff outdid themselves with the props and great menu prepared.  The entire section was treated to a very special menu and incredible program prepared by their very own staff.

Once again, we are happy to share the list of campers that excelled in learning class over the past week. Lots of Nachas!

Mazel tov to campers celebrating their Hanochas Tefillin in camp with family  and friends. Mazel Tov to the Cousins, Katz and Kaller families. Lots of Chassidishe Nachas.

Thanks to all the families that made the long trip up to camp yesterday. Worth the trip! The weather could not have been better, as families enjoyed their time on the beautiful CGI grounds. Our guests enjoyed the inflatable activities brought to camp in their honor, and of course the canteen, the playground; and just being together with their campers in camp. Campers without visitors were given a special schedule, including swimming in the pool and boating on our magnificent lake.

As parents left, campers hurried off to learning classes followed by mincha and a delicious dinner of burgers and fries. Grade 6 was treated to a special evening out; including a deluxe barbecue dinner in the baseball field and special sports.

Last night a few bunks were given a late night of jumping and sliding on the inflatable games while others enjoyed bubble soccer. CGI is happy to welcome this new activity to our grounds. Our new bubble-soccer game has proven to be a tremendous hit with campers of all ages bh.

In the meantime over 110 section C Hatamim participants were rewarded with a special sushi night. Section C Campers were seen rolling and enjoying their very own sushi rolls. Most enjoyed!

Shabbos was amazing here in CGI! Friday night spirit was amazing, Rabbi B. Mockin sang for our campers, and the head counselors did a great job and leading the farbrengen / seudah. Shabbos afternoon, after the seudah, Rabbi Wagner farbrenged with the campers in the dining room. Motzei shabbos our staff were treated to a delicious melave Malkah.

We look forward to greeting our families and friends here in camp this afternoon. Visiting day starts at 1:00 pm city time. The day begins with line up and lunch, guests are welcome to watch our line up and wait for our campers to be dismissed from lunch. Visiting hours end at 6:00 pm city time, when learning classes begin. Have a safe drive up.

Yesterday, the sky cleared just when we were ready to get on the playing fields. After a few small rain showers, the sun came out just in time for our campers to enjoy an amazing afternoon of great sports and water activities.

Our hardworking, devoted staff were treated to an evening out, while the head staff did a great job at replacing them all here in camp. After a delicious dinner at Pizza Pita they headed to the private spa for some well deserved relaxation. They returned to camp energized and ready to continue giving our campers all they got.

We look forward to greeting our family and friends here in camp on this upcoming Sunday for visiting day.  Details have been sent by email.

Have a great shabbos!

Last night was quite exciting here in camp! The entire camp filled the shul for a great show put up by Hypnotist Alan Ferlan. Staff volunteered and campers cheered and laughed; was quite entertaining and exciting.  Campers  returned to their bunks after an amazing show and an amazing day BH.

Section C had a special late night salad night! A lavish spread was prepared with all the trimmings; with great unity a great time was enjoyed by all. They were treated to a well deserved late morning after their busy night last night.

This morning bright and early, bunks alef and beis had their very own runaway. Our youngest campers sneaked out of camp along with their counselors for a great time. They returned to camp following breakfast to join for learning classes.

CGI is honored to welcome Rabbi Wagner along with his talmidim as our masmidim in camp. Looking forward to a season a learning on our wonderful grounds iyh! Lots of Hatzlacha!

Section C returned last night after an amazing trip. The section was split in half, half went to rope course, and the other half to paintball shooting (will alternate again next week so that every camper has a chance to do both). They returned to camp for a grand barbecue followed by late evening sports and more. It was another great day for our section C campers bh!

Many bunks enjoyed special late nights last night including the computer room, a grand gaga game, dodge balls and two minutes free in canteen.

This morning – bright and early bunks Tes, Yud Zayin and Chof beis were off camp grounds for a runaway. Buns Tes ran to the other side of the lake for a picnic breakfast and tubing while the others were driven to La Belle. Campers all returned to camp on time for learning classes.

CGI would like to wish the Dalfin family mazel tov upon Yanky’s Bar Mitzvah celebrated here in Camp with family and friends BH. We look forward to celebrating many bar mitzvahs and hanochas tefillin here in camp throughout the summer iyh. Lots of Nachas!
