Another amazing Shabbos BH! The Shabbos Seudos were lively and full of exciting stories and songs. The new bog war songs were learned and shared, as well as many other niggunim and camp songs, as many campers were enjoying their last shabbos in CGI 2021.

Rabbi Yossi Paltiel joined CGI for shabbos and farbrenged with the staff all afternoon. Shalash Seudos featured a special pre fast menu of shnitzel, deli roll, salami, salad, baguettes and ice cream. Campers then headed to the shul for shmaryonki, Kamtza-Bar Kamtza and of course Eicha. Today campers will enjoy a special once a summer camper/staff sports game.

Section C had a voluntary Q&A period with Rabbi Paltiel. Most of the bochurim chose to join and soaked in the knowledge that was shared.

Looking forward to when this day will no longer be a fast! Have an easy fast!

CGI was home to many inflatable activities yesterday; including water slides, jumping castles and more. Under a beautiful sunny sky, each section of camp alternated to enjoy the cool, invigorating activity.

Our staff continue to go above and beyond – giving the campers a most amazing summer bh. Last night they were treated to an evening of appreciation with a special pizza/pasta event. Sitting together in unity and fun- a great time was enjoyed by all.

This morning our grade 6 campers – better-known at section B+ – enjoyed a lavish seaside breakfast, displayed beautify in front of the lake. The boys were treated to smoothies, omelets, pastries and more, all prepared for them by their very own staff.

The section C bochurim have been learning diligently in their learning classes. The boys were offered a voluntary-final-test, with questions that included all they learned throughout the month. 114 boys voluntarily took the test, most of whom passed with high scores. The boys will be rewarded accordingly.

Looking forward to another amazing Shabbos here in the Rebbe’s camp, as we sadly start bidding farewell to our first month campers, departing this Wednesday iyh.

Bog war was highlighted by the two plays enjoyed yesterday. All the performances were entertaining “Toichendik” and enjoyable for all the three teams. Campers are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winner later today iyh.

Following the bog war excitement, the section C bochurim were rewarded for their continued ongoing Hachlatos in the Hatomim project. Prepared for them by their very own devoted staff, the boys enjoyed a full array of ice creams and toppings, Ice coffees, pastries, a candy bar and more. Another amazing event – giving the boys great positive reinforcement to continue with their amazing work.

Bog war is here! The spirit and excitement are tangible!

Although the Rambam brings the two aspects of Moshiach as “Chezkas Moshiach” and “Moshiach Vadai”, this bog war takes on the second one.

Taking the angle of “Moshiach Vadai” the toichen of all three teams’ are intertwined and necessary to accomplish the goal of “Moshiach Vadai”.

The three names are:
Yikabeits (Gather all Yidden to Eretz Yisroel)
Yisakein (repairing the world preparing for Moshiach)
Yivneh (Build the Beis Hamikdosh)

Campers of all three teams are enjoying the spirit, long line ups, special davenings, speeches, comedy and of course meaningful plays.

Last night’s play, displayed with true to life stages and backdrops, took us to Iran. Back when Rabbi JJ Hecht was instructed by the Rebbe to bring out thousands of children from Iran. The story was depicted with intensity, clarity and humor. Hearing the Rebbe’s voice on the loud speaker during the play brought the reality home. A great, true, miraculous story – left all campers with a lot to think about as they headed to sleep.

Bog war continues throughout the day today!

Mazel tov to Mendel Plotkin from Greensboro North Carolina, and Naftali Blotner From Mesa Arizona, celebrating their Hanochas tefillin here in camp today. Lots of Nachas to both families.

After a day of sports and learning, all departments of camp filed into the gym for a bike show in house entertainment. The spirit was great and stunts were amazing! Following the show campers enjoyed a dairy supper of Lazagna, corn and salad. A great day was enjoyed by all.

The daily siyumim continue in section C. Mazel Tov to Cheskey Paltiel and Dovid Geisinsky upon their Siyum on Sotah! Super proud of our section  C bochurim.

As we like to keep parents informed, we are letting you know that a small fire just broke out in a small bedroom above the shul. The room belonged to a few staff members. B”H it was caught right away. The fire fighters were here in minutes and were quick to extinguish it. The Cause of the fire was a charging,  overheated tablet. A mattress caught on fire and spread upward. B”H minimal damage to the room, and everyone is safe. Campers are asleep in their bunks. Have a good night.

Camp enjoyed a great day of sports and on-site activity. With the nine days upon us, trips will wait till next week iyh. Lots of onsite activity and entertainment are planned for the week. All meals are dairy despite the Siyumim taking place.

In honor of the nine days a camper in Section C will be making a siyum every night. In our featured pictures Camper Shneur Zalman Liberow of Boca Raton Florida is making the first siyum for the entire section C.

We are grateful for another uplifting and enjoyable Shabbos here in CGI! Both dining rooms were alive and meaningful. Shabbos competition winners are bunks: Hey, Yud Alef, and Tes Vov! CGI wants to thank Rabbi V. Butman for joining us for Shabbos and adding his insights and stories to each department of camp. In addition to speaking in both dining rooms, Rabbi Butman farbrenged with the staff. The Farbrengen continued way past the ending of Shabbos.

Section A, grade 4, was treated to a specail late night – Pizza event – on Motzei shabbos.

Grade 6 had their fierce-all-star-game on motzei shabbos in our indoor gym. Competition is high in preparation to the finals.

Enjoy our week 2 video posted below, highlighting some of the amazing activity your son experience during his second week here in the Rebbe’s camp.

Mazel Tov to Levi Heber upon his Hanochas Tefillin celebrated here in cmap this morning joined by his parents.

After another amazing day – our hardworking staff were treated to a well-deserved break , with a staff trip last night.

Campers were at their best behavior – enjoying special activities, with the head staff. Section C was inspired with a special farbrengen with “Lev” and the rest of camp enjoyed special entertainment with an inhouse magician. Staff returned rejuvenated and enthusiastic for the Shabbos ahead.

Looking forward to an amazing Shabbos here in the Rebbe’s camp. Good Shabbos

Our day started out late as campers enjoyed some much-needed sleep after the late return from the water park trip. Everyone was very excited about the amazing trip they had just experienced and lots of discussion continued throughout the day.

Following a day of sports and fun, grade 6 campers were treated to a special “Mivtzah-Event” as a reward for special hachlotas the boys kept. The staff outdid themselves with an amazing program, lots of spirit, and a great Bagget/shnitzel/fries/onion rings and more. Campers were served by the staff as they walked through the beautifully displayed buffet. A great program was prepared and  enjoyed by all!

Not far away, in the beautiful shul, section C was enjoying a special sushi making evening. The shul was hard to recognize with the amazing décor and spirit.  This event was well deserved as it was a reward for keeping up with lots of hachlotas as saying Rambam, Chitas etc. These exciting positive incentives go a long way! Thanks to the amazing staff for going above and beyond!
